Spent coffee grounds are a waste stream. Turning them into something an animal lives on is not a matter of drying and pressing — the residual caffeine has to come out first. That removal step is what our patents cover, and it is what the test reports measure. コーヒー粕は捨てられる副産物です。これを動物が直接触れる製品にするには、乾燥と圧縮だけでは足りません。残留カフェインを先に取り除く必要があります。当社の特許が対象とするのも、試験成績書が測定するのも、この工程です。
Input投入原料
Spent coffee grounds, collected in South Korea.韓国国内で回収したコーヒー粕。
Grounds are recovered from coffee retail operators under collection agreements, then sorted and dried before they enter the process. Oyster shell is used as a second input in REPTIQUETTE. コーヒー店運営会社との回収協定で回収したコーヒー粕を、選別・乾燥したうえで工程に投入します。REPTIQUETTE には牡蠣殻が 2 つ目の原料として入ります。

STEP 01
Recovery, sorting, drying回収・選別・乾燥
Wet spent grounds are collected, foreign material is removed, and moisture is driven off so the batch is stable enough to process.湿ったコーヒー粕を回収し、異物を取り除き、工程に投入できる状態になるまで水分を飛ばします。

Decaffeination脱カフェイン
Residual caffeine is removed under the patented process. This is the step that makes the grounds usable in a product an animal lives on.特許工程で残留カフェインを除去します。コーヒー粕を、動物が直接触れる製品に使えるようにする工程です。

STEP 03
Binding and granulation配合・造粒
The treated grounds are combined with the other inputs for the product line and formed into granules or pellets.処理したコーヒー粕を製品ごとの原料と配合し、粒またはペレットに成形します。

04 — Sourcing loop資源循環の仕組み
The input is collected, not bought as a commodity.原料は購入するのではなく、回収します。
We hold collection agreements with coffee retail operators in Gyeonggi Province. Grounds that would otherwise be discarded are picked up on a route, dried, and fed into the process. That is the whole of the recycling claim we make — the material is diverted from disposal and used as a raw material input. 京畿道内のコーヒー店運営会社と回収協定を結んでいます。そのまま廃棄されるはずのコーヒー粕を、決められたルートで回収し、乾燥させて工程に投入します。当社がリサイクルとして申し上げるのはここまでです — 廃棄される物質を原料として使う、ということです。
